Connect Telegram to Claude AI
Five steps. About thirty seconds. No API keys.
Open Claude.ai settings
Sign in to claude.ai and open Settings. Free, Pro, Max, and Team plans all support connectors.
Go to Connectors
In Settings, find the Connectors section and click "Add custom connector".
Paste the MCP URL
Enter the URL below in the connector dialog and click Connect.
Approve OAuth + scan QR
Claude.ai redirects to our OAuth consent screen. Click Approve, then a QR code appears. Open Telegram → Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device → scan the QR.
Start asking
Claude.ai redirects back; you'll see a green "Connected" status. Ask it to read your chats: "Summarize my unread messages" works as a first prompt.
Troubleshooting
QR code expired or didn't scan
QR codes are valid for ~30 seconds. Refresh the connector dialog and try again. Make sure your phone has internet access while scanning.
Connector says "disconnected"
Open the connector in Claude.ai and click Reconnect — you'll get a new QR. Sessions can also be revoked from Telegram → Settings → Devices.
Empty chat list
If Claude says you have no chats, your Telegram session likely needs reactivation. Disconnect and reconnect from claude.ai → Settings → Connectors.
